The place is beautiful, view and the restaurant itself is amazing.You might think the location is a bit out of way for the first time, but don’t worry it’s well marked with signs and you won’t miss it.We had Sole fish and a ravioli, the food was good not the best to be honest. But the experience and overall quality was really great. Definitely recommended.

Food was exceptional view was unbelievable but the service was way too slow. Wasn't even able to finish our lunch before our tour group had to leave. We were there for over 1.5 hours for lunch. Too long on a day we needed to see as much of Africa as we could.

What a beautiful place. The views of the overlooking Zambezi River valley is just majestic and absolutely priceless. I highly recommend a lunch at Lookout Cafe and an adrenaline activity is good too!

Most enjoyable restaurant that I went to in Zimbabwe in my last visit. Had two fantastic breakfasts, picked at only 10 US each. Great views, lots of adventurous action

Aptly named and has the most spectacular view of the bridge and gorges. A must do if visiting on the Zimbabwean side. The food is good and a brief menu all really well thought out. We were well taken care of, celebrated my Dad's 80th, they had an original birthday song to boot thank you!

Love the lookout Cafe. Food is good view is special and the vibe is fun. Cafe decor is authentic and contributes to the atmosphere. Service was a bit lethargic and prices are stiff.

You will not find a restaurant with a better view and the food was exceptional!On arrival we got served home made Strawberry Iced tea (yummy!!) followed by fresh fruit and baked muffins and one of the best Salmon Eggs Benedict we ever had.Really stunning experience.

Beautiful view and reasonably priced beer, $3. The food menu looked reasonable as well considering that everything here in Victoria Falls seems to be overpriced considering the populations incomes. Anyhow, we would definitely go back. We watched people bungee jump and zipline from the patio.

So beautiful. Would recommend as a must do when at the Victoria Falls. The view does not get better than this. There was nice entertainment local band and the full moon serenaded us with a view of the gauge. Better Thai Green Curry than the Thai do it I reckon haha. Excellent cuisine.

As everyone has said, great views. All dining is outside. I'd suggest driving there as you will pass some pushy street vendors and walk through some undeveloped land to get there. Food is outstanding and well presented. Staff is very nice. Prices are about on part with prices in the USA, perhaps slightly less. Service is slower than we are used to in the US but, hey, you are on vacation 300 feet over the Zambezi river so just relax and enjoy.

Hands down the place where Africa showcases her vibe and elegance. Its such a clever fusion of senses, tastes, sounds, movement..community. everyone in the world must experience this at least once. It was not just an experience, it's a lifetime memory and I can still feel the drums beating in my soul. Kudos for curating this magnificent concept. The food was excellent. Who knew green beans could taste so good?

You have to visit Boma if you go to Vic Falls. Perfect for the whole family. This gives an insight to the Zimbabwean culture. You get a wonderful greeting, you get wrapped in a traditional Zimbabwean cloth, face paint before being immersed in the traditional dancing, while enjoying the authentic Zimbabwean cuisine and finish off with a brilliant drum session on Zimbabwean styled drums. I highly recommend going here, but it's best to book well in advance as it was fully booked for 2 weeks straight, between Christmas to past New Years

Wonderful traditional African experience. Good food and entertainment. Everyone got a sarong and got their face painted. Show of dancers and drumming, where everyone participated.

Great place and people ! Very tasty , fun and loud . The crowd is fantastic and the attractions kept everyone occupied. They offer “special” delicacies like warms , crocodiles or bulls if you feel adventurous as well ( all included in the buffet)

What a fun night! Don't shy away from the food, drumming or dancing and enjoy the amazing atmosphere that the team has created. The only downside was as you walk in, they get you to do a 360 video and send it to you then make you pay, sneaky! Otherwise staff are great and so many other experiences available during the night.

Wonderful experience we had here. Of interest was the resident African diviner, the man of bones, who offered to foretell anybody's future. Would have given it a go but got a bit tied up. I particularly loved the part where all the guests are given drums to synchronize with the performers. Absolutely splendid. And oh, their dishes are amazing. Eland meat was spot on, buffalo stew was the best, had to ask for a second helping

Yes it’s touristy, but a totally fun and different experience. The whole evening was a delight. They first robe you in native fabric. Great performance’s of singing and dancing, including an audience participation drumming event. Fun face painting available to everyone. Dinner is delicious with wide array of grilled wild game that was delicious. The entire dining experience was outstanding. We had an amazing and incredible experience here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this amazing cultural experience and highly recommend that you experience it while you're in Zimbabwe. You're welcomed by the sound of beating drums and you'll have a traditional cloth draped over you for the setting.The food included is delicious and there is a nice variety and a lot of game meat like Kudu and Buffalo. You can even try a Mopane worm if you're brave enough. Drinks are not included in the ticket price.The highlight is definitely the drum show. Everyone gets their own set of drums and you'll beat your drum according to an instructor. The atmosphere of hearing so many drums being played is incredible. They will even create a circle where people will start dancing. It's an amazing and fun evening. Definitely do it!

The Boma dinner & drum experience in Zimbabwe was truly unforgettable. We were welcomed by traditional dancers and we were then dressed in traditional robes. The food variety was exceptional, ranging from a warm soup to a diverse salad bar, including meat, chicken, lamb, and vegan/vegetarian options. The food seemed endless, the highlight of the evening was the invitation to join in drumming. A must-try when in Victoria Falls.

If you are in Victoria Falls this is an experience that you cannot miss. My family is vegetarian and when we said that to the waiter the chef (Jennifer) came down directly to our table and took us through the entire buffet dish by dish to let us know what we could eat. The hospitality was amazing and the performance was truly engaging. The drum show is truly one of a kind. Gets everyone engaged with the drums and is such great fun for people of all ages. Would definitely recommend it and would certainly visit again in my next trip to Victoria Falls.

Mama Africa is good, not great. However, the service was excellent and quick. We had beef stew and warthog stew and neither had much flavor. These were "hotpots" for lunch and ran around $12-$14 USD per dish. Nothing bad here, you just may have a tastier experience elsewhere.

A friendly and colourful welcome, fabulous service from Ronald and delicious local food. I treated myself to their spicy beef stew and sadza, couldn’t fault it. And I was sat under a mango tree for added novelty! Definitely a great hidden gem if you’re visiting Vic Falls.

Local Vic Falls grub without the hotel prices. Traditional African menu and rustic vibes Festive and friendly atmosphere. Don't expect your food in a rush, enjoy the live music and have another drink.

Mama Africa is an African traditional themed restaurant which mostly specialises in Zimbabwean African cuisine. They have a wide variety of African dishes some of which are authentic whilst others are an interesting experiment of their chef. All the same their food is great, despite the very very small portions they serve. The atmosphere is also great. The waiters are very friendly. It is a must try for someone who wants to taste original African cuisine in Victoria falls on a budget.

The satza was not authentic. It was ordered from SA rather than Zim style. Stew and fish were good

Delicious food and exceptional service from our waiter Ronald. I had the vegetarian curry and as I hadn't tried the peanut butter rice or sadza, Ronald suggested I try half of both, and they were both amazing! We sat in the courtyard and listened to the band play while we ate. Definitely find this restaurant when you're in Vic Falls!

We had a delicious supper here. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very authentic.

Had a great time at Mama Africa. The food was refreshingly "African" opposed to all the touristy pizza and burger you get elsewhere in Vic Falls and despite some other reviews we found it quite filling. Staff was really nice. We recommend!

Definitely my favourite restaurant in Vic Falls. I've been lucky enough to visit this place quite a few times. The look and vibe is modern with a western vibe to it. Big, open spaces restaurant with lovely modern interior. The menu has many various flavours and options like pizza, salad, massive burgers, espatada, game meat pies, hand made spring rolls, homemade breads, dessert and much much more. Good alcohol menu with reasonably priced co*cktails. Gin and tonic on tap, awesome margaritas and affordable local beers. Great service and staff. All meals are prepared freshly. Love love love this restaurant

The place to refuel and refresh after Vic Falls. Fresh brewed beer and amazing food. Environmental set up is awesome with misty system with fans keeping you cool. Easy to spend a lot of time here relaxing and drinking the seriously good River Brewery Pale Ale

We ate here several times and it was great every time. I think for the quality and the portion sizes the food is good value, compared to other places in Victoria falls anyway. The burgers, pizza and ribs were especially good. The drinks could have been a bit colder, but that’s just a personal preference.

It is the best food in town and it is cheaper then all the high end places even the food is many times better … and the make the best drinks in town too ;-)

The atmosphere is nice, the facilities clean, waiters with great service, food comes fast. Easy to walk to from anywhere in Victoria Falls. Outside setting so be aware there are flies but it is peaceful and there are water misters. I got the pesto chicken pizza, large serving size, so I recommend sharing. It was heavily topped and a bit salty. The burgers looked huge and tasty. Beer on tap is good. Prices average.

The service was superb. The menu has good options, although it has limited vegan and vegetarian options. The vibe is really good, well spaced tables, music not too loud and good staff to customer ratio. It is a really good etainf experience.

Ordered a BBQ cheese burger - Home made BBQ sauce is not evident, but I enjoyed it. Alert on the portion if you are on a diet. ;) Accompanied with a pint of local tab beer - Balozi. Never expected such American burger place in Victoria Falls - recommend for a casual and pleasant meal.

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant after many locals recommended it and we were not disappointed.I am not a big fan of steak or meat but I tried to be optimistic and ordered rump steak with a side of roasted veg and mashed potatoes. The steak was so soft and flavourful, paired with the pepper sauce given, it was truly an excellent blend of flavors to me. The drinks were equally good, just the right kick to them. Not overly sweet and not bitter at all.The service was great, I unfortunately don't remember our waiters name but all their staff was friendly from the minute we got there till we left hours later. Very attentive and helpful to us and to one another when they noticed that we might need more assistance beyond our waiters capacity.The atmosphere of the place is just right. It was a hot afternoon, there were fans everywhere, the entire place was clean to a T(this includes their restroom facilities too.) It's not too flashy or overly exaggerated, I love the minimal blend of colors and the simple look it has.

The coolest spot in Vic Falls for reals folks! It has a fantastic misty system and fans so you are cool as a cucumber 🥒 in the humid weather. The food and service was excellent! We had different pizzas, the burger is huge we had the Pepper Burger with a side of Stilton it was amazing! We will return, thank you for a wonderful experience 😊

We visited the cafe around 2pm for a late lunch on Sunday. If you are looking for local beer and cider, must try this place 🍻The staff was so welcoming. The restroom was clean enough. The portion of every meal was huge! I felt sorry as l couldn't finish all. The place has a pizza oven in the outdoor kitchen. You can do pizza takeaway🍕🍕

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even give you icy cold towels as you enter which was amazing after being out in the blazing heat! The atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled. The food was great. The reason for marking down was the issues with the WiFi not allowing you to log in.

Great food, good customer service ... Just the one thing I needed to complete my stay in the Victoria Falls. They have reasonably big size portions and I absolutely respect them for this. Everyone in the place was happy and the Waiters helped us to take pictures at the Restaurant. I will definitely go there again. It's a great great great place to be.

The staff is excellent. The food didn't disappoint, highly recommend the ostrich steak, tempura hake, and the cheesecake with coconut ice cream! I also had the sous vide chicken which was pleasant, but the risotto it sat atop was amazing.

Great food and lovely service. You have the option to sit on the terrace you will be able to hear the waterfall. You get to choose from a nice variety of African animals for dinner, and there is a large selection available to choose from for breakfast.

We had a confirmed booking for dinner at 18.00 and arrived 10 minutes early only to find out the dinner doesn’t begin before 19.00. This was no problem due to the view which we enjoyed along with some drinks.While the staff were kind enough to give us a complementary snacks while waiting which was actually quite good. However, once we sat for dinner, we ordered soft drinks and asked for the wine card. This never arrived. Therefore, we ate starters without drinks. Once the main came, we still hadn’t received drinks nor the wine card and we tried asking again. Luckily, it came this time. The main menu was really poor quality! This was by far the most expensive meal and most disappointing one in Zimbabwe… My friends pork ribs was 80% gummy fat and the rest was far from impressive. All this could definitely be excused as minor unlucky errors and would not justify leaving a bad review for everyone to see in my eyes.But what made me write this review was when we were done, we kindly asked if the reception could call us a taxi. The receptions answer was no and that we could try to ask 8 other quest if we could join theirs. So, basically we were left out in nowhere on ourselves. Luckily my friend has data on his phone and where able to get a hold of a taxi company. Otherwise we would have been stranded in an empty place with the only option to walk home which is very dangerous here with the wild animals.The view and complimentary bread was nice tho.100% would not recommend for eating

Great location for a sundowner. Food and drinks were great and reasonably priced, service was also good. The restaurant only opens at 7pm but the bar downstairs is open for sunset. The daiquiri’s and steak were delicious! Would recommend and return

Eager to please.Unfortunately the food did not match th3 standards with my lasagne being burnt and crusty, the fries were under cooked and my friend's burger patties were dry and overcooked.

The view is fantastic, building is great.The food is the worst I have eaten anywhere. Strong flavours clamouring to out-compete one another that do not go together.Duck was overcooked enough to have the mouth feel of shoe leather.Pork belly was meant to be tandoori flavoured- already an odd choice - but was instead tasting of bovril.I would recommend this place for a drink overlooking the watering hole, but attempt to eat at your peril - except the bread, that was tasty.

Where do I begin? We made a reservation over WhatsApp 2 days prior to our visit. This was confirmed by the restaurant. Unfortunately this seems to have been completely ignored as we arrived and were told there was no reservation.So we sat for 2 hours waiting for a table, enjoying the view of the watering hole. No animals in sight but a very nice sunset and setting. Drank some pretty awful red wine (the only red on the menu) at the bar as we waited for them to call us upstairs.Then they finally bring us upstairs to the restaurant and the place is half empty. Which was a bit annoying as we were sitting for 2 hours for no good reason. Anyway we let it slide but then our table was full of ants. We were trapped at the ant table because as soon as we sat down the singing band started (which I must admit was very good). As the singers moved from table to table singing their songs, it became clear that we would be trapped forever at the ant table without an opportunity to order food. This went on for 15 minutes.Finally my wife lost her patience and asked if we were invisible. They then started to pay attention to us, moved us to a nice table (then asked us to move to a less nice table, then once again back to the nice table) and kindly informed us that there were no bread rolls left (we had no expectation of bread rolls but it was good to know that we were once again missing out on something).Our waiter Wonder was the saving grace. Slight mistake on the drink orders but he made up for this with his friendly demeanor.Food was decent but not worth the headache. Beautiful venue that could be 5 star but needs some better management and organization.

Beautiful setting with very attentive staff. Very nice African menu well executed and presented beautifully.Started with cheese stuffed mushroom. Being a game nut I had the venison which was very good. My wife ordered the chicken, not adventurous, also very good.For dessert, we had a trio of ice cream and a home made cake.

Beautiful scenery and surrounding for a high tea during spring and summer. It faces the Victoria falls bridge. You can see the plumes from the falls on a clear day.The scones with whipped cream and jam along with the savoury sandwiches were the highlights of the 3tier high-tea.

Part of the colonial heritage and history of Zimbabwe. The extensive grounds host an impressive restaurant. Views over the Zambezi and Victori Falls Bridge.Food and service spot on.

The place needs no review, it's iconic and staying here has been a real treat especially that there's hardly anyone here. The food has been really good. They could brush up on the service, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are busy renovating the upstairs in one wing but has not affected the daily operations. Will be back some day ,that's for sure.

Fantastic location with a view of the bridge and the "mist"of the falls. Well appointed hotel with beautiful decor and facilities. We had a great meal and breakfast.

Old hotel with very nice rooms. We had at least 80 square meters two big rooms with access to a lounge. In there where always one or two butler. The food is okey but not more. There is no point to take a walk in the village because everyone is so poor and will not leave you alone. From the hotel goes a train to Pretoria. Don’t take that train.

Classic hotel with long history, but feeling it's age now, bedrooms are dated, old furniture although comfortable and clean. Location and view are great as is the service. They appear to be upgrading one wing so may return to 5star soon

I spent my Honeymoon here and we absolutely loved it. One day we’ll be back, except we will have kids with us this time. This Hotel was amazing, the service was awesome. Waking up opening the curtains and seeing warthogs grazing on the lawns and monkeys playing along the paths just awesome and authentic. The views were spectacular and the grounds kept so neat and beautiful. What an amazing experience!

It is an oasis, the dust, the pushy vendors, the noise, it all stops at the entrance. The setting is tropical, including the occasional deer, mongoose, and monkeys. The falls mist is clearly visible as you sit at Stanley's Terrace for food and drink. Our rooms were updated, the beds were the right side of firm. All the amenities you expect were there. Breakfast is nice, at Junglr Junction (and was included for our party). The staff is super helpful, happy to go above and beyond. It is an odd note that the decorations, names, vibe is all glorifying the Queen, white history, and celebrating colonial times. I don't expect a true accounting of history here, but a bit more celebration of Zimbabwean rich culture, tribes, would help balance things out.

Didn't stay there... a bit pricey for me but the grounds and rooms are worth the price. So very much history is here. Service is elegantly Edwardian era! Worth the visit even if you don't stay. And enjoy the high tea!!!

I've been to Victoria Falls many times and stayed in different places over the years. This was my first time experiencing The Victoria Falls Hotel. All I can say is i had an incredible experience. The service was excellent, the food was great and above all the View of the Victoria Falls Bridge, Gorge and the spray from the Falls was incredible to witness while having a meal.

We stayed for 3 nights back in 2017 and it was very pleasant. The building is a majestic colonial structure and you can literally spend hours walking through its corridors, discovering rooms and observing the old photos and maps on the walls. The service was overall very good - there was a bit of clumsiness at the restaurant but nothing too bad.

We had WiFi issues on the first night, which they fixed really fast.Otherwise, it's a beautiful location and a very historic hotel to stay in. The room we stayed in, could use a little upgrade in furniture, whilst still keeping it looking stately.

Absolutely a wonderful experience. Start to finish everything top notch, One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. Thank you for the wonderful memories on or 6 day stay from the United States.

Staff are friendly and grounds are nice - with view of railway bridge and plumes from the falls. Thus you get loud helicopters above you all day. The hotel have to do a lot better to live up to the "Leading Hotels". Coffee machine broken, only buffet breakfast, no clotted cream with scones ... etc

A very special historic 5 star hotel. Loved our stay here. You can see part of the Victoria falls from the grounds of the hotel and the hotel connects to the entrance to the Victoria Falls. I had a lovely relaxing massage in the hotel. The room was fabulous. If you are visiting the Victoria Falls, you must stay at this hotel to complete your experience.

The place blew me off, my friends from the USA 🇺🇸 loved it. Staff very friendly and the service excellent. My friend couldn't believe the taste of their local brew said it's the best he has tasted so far. Scrumptious vegetarian food and ambient environment. A must dine at when next you are in Vic Falls. Took some night photos 📸 hope you can relate to it. The Manager was awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍

Ordered at 12pm. Didn't get our food until 1:15pm. The server took our order and then returned twice to tell us that they were out of what we ordered each time. A server came out at 12:45pm to tell us that the kitchen was backed up (even though there were only 3 tables in use). The server came a third time at 1pm to tell us that the kitchen was out of hamburger buns. Thankfully the server was very nice, food was pretty good, and the beers were decent to good.

Wow. RBC has fun, light and yet super clean vibe. The staff is great. All there beers are made made locally from Zambezi water. Thanks for having us! We'll be back. TIP do the beer flight called a "PADDLE"

The tasting paddles for tour groups are quite generous. They also do a brewery tour. The food is really good, fresh salad ingredients and good meal portions. Everything is made fresh and the menu has Mexican flavours to complement the beers. The tacos and nachos are home made and you can really taste the difference in quality. The average meal price is about $8. They have vegetarian options too as well as really delicious, fresh chilli sauce.

This is the home of live music in Victoria Falls. I enjoyed their in house sangria with a twist, and had quite a feast with their battered fish and chips. It was such an amazing evening.

Beer was great, as was the food (and the music). They were out of several beers and food, and didn't have any cans to go when we were there, which was a shame

Very cozy and welcoming! They have great in-house brewed beers, ales …. the lot. It’s definitely worth a stop. Tons of parking. Drive up there, settle in for tasting, buy and snack and enjoy the music. They usually have a live performance going on too! The service is great and you feel welcome. A must go!

Great food and drink, the beers made on site are highly recommended, as are the shake co*cktails and normal ones. Nachos and pulled pork are yummy. 😋 Friendly efficient staff and reasonable prices.

Very awesome place, opened by a kind American expat from Alaska. The food was incredible, topped only by that cranberry drink on tap! It was an honor and a privilege to be a performing artist on their stage.

Definitely a worthwhile dinner experience when you are in Victoria Falls! Interesting and tasty Zimbabwean cuisine. Friendly staff. Booking is required, but worth it! The great desserts!

This is a MUST DO non touristy cultural and engaging dinner. Run by women in the township, this is an experience. They share their journey, the nuts, herbs and seeds that are used and display local art throughout the super cute indoor and outdoor space. They create the daily menu. The dinner was fantastic and oh so plentiful. For a fixed price, dinner includes apps, entree and desserts. Kids come sing a sing or two. Profits go back largely to the community township.

This place is just amazing. I can’t believe it did not show up in any of the google searches about VF. It was recommended by our hotel after I told them I wanted something really authentic and not like the touristy show in Boma restaurant.Dusty road is own by a very creative Zimbabwean woman and the place is run by 14 women. Here you can not only find authentic local food but they also show you all the different ingredients and explain how they prepare the dishes. The decoration of the restaurant is very eclectic and beautiful. They also have a small gift shop. They have a fixed menu for lunch and one for dinner, and they take credit card. If you want to experience real Zimbabwe, this is the place.

Everything about this place is as amazing. It is right in the town, the food was so yummy, they educated you on the ingredients and the local culinary habits. Sarah was there to welcome us.

If you have a chance, don’t miss this when in Victoria falls! Authentic dishes, coupled with showcasing of their foods and crafts. Wonderful staff will explain about the way they use the grain and how they cook. We tried game, vegetables, peanut rice (delicious!) and some desserts. Lovely garden to sit outside, and overall design of the place is quirky but lovely. An absolute must!

Extremely overpriced wine, buffet with very limited choice. Food was ok but really not worth the money. As for decor - i dont really beleive so many people like some old staff being everywhere. And i had a boot on the table which wasnt very pleasand for my old-school style partner for example. I know that this place has a great reputation but if you feel you are obliged to like it - you are not. ;)

The vision in this place is incredible. It is not somewhere you just go to eat - it is so much more than that. It is an experience and a place that brings smiles in every corner. Almost everything is cleverly recycled and the amount of detail in the place should be fully explored and taken in. For this reason, I was glad I went at lunchtime and also because it was peaceful at that time of day. Absolutely superb and lovely to meet Sarah, the brains behind this gorgeous spot.

What a gem on the banks of the Zambezi River. We had an absolutely delightful dinner at Baines for my birthday. Recommended to us by friends - Michelle and Gareth Jocks, Baines did not disappoint! Very tasty and well presented dishes with an extraordinary view as our backdrop and the restaurant itself is rather beautiful. Blessing, who waited on us was delightful, friendly and just a pleasure! Amazing lunch spot right on the banks of the Zambezi River. Cold face towels were there to greet us. Beautiful views from the restaurant and excellent service. Great place for an early lunch or a sundowner to blow the dust off the shoes!

Found this hidden gem by chance, can't believe I hadn't heard of it. The attention to detail is fantastic, the menu is great, staff was good too. I would say my best restaurant in the falls at the moment! Will definitely be recommending it! This has raised the bar in terms of standards! Thank you

10 out or 10 for this beautifully put together eco friendly place. Food is delicious, service is attentive, had to go back several times during our visit, breakfast, lunch, coffee, or just a drink at sundown. Next visit we will be looking to do the "moonlight dinner" which has been highly recommended. Well done to all for your hard work and attention to details. Oh and the bathroom gets a 10/10 in my score book too.

It is a nice place, the cool breeze from the Zambezi river. Great food tbone steak and the Fish well done. On the menu it was written Tilapia but was served with Hake. Waiter should at least inform guest that Tilapia is out of stock you would like some Hake instead. However we had enjoyed our lunch and we call again soon

Amazing chicken burgers as a local I get them most days for lunch best value in town.

The Zulu Bistro Bar at the Landela Complex is the absolute best option in Victoria Falls to refresh yourself in the shade with cool drinks and strengths with small dishes. The loaded fries, for example, are delicious. The burgers are also great and everyone should have tried the crocodile tail. Perfectly prepared in the Zulu with lots of fresh vegetable, it tastes a little like chicken, a great experience. My wife and I were there while shopping and then again in the evening. The Zulu team is absolute fantastic, always with an appreciative smile and with your heart. A wonderfully quiet oasis in the middle of the a little hectic Victoria Falls with its sometimes quite exhausting traders. Be sure to visit the Zulu bistro bar.

The atmosphere was calming and welcoming. Our waiter Alistar was great. The food was delicious as were our drinks.

Really enjoyed the food here. One of our best meals in Southern Africa. I suggest the warthog. The setting/vibe is a little odd as it is in/near a campground and swimming pool. But other than that I highly recommend this place for a meal. You can find cheaper around but it's got local favor and interesting dishes.

Try the crocodile and its soooo good like the best food so far in Zimbabwe, we also try the beef stew and the salad which also tasty too and remind me to my cuisine in my home country Vietnam. Price was really affordable 😋😋 Highly recommend 👍🏻

Loved this beautiful hotel! Stayed with my mom in February 2023. 10 minute walk to the falls. Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, fabulous accommodations - we had a room with a patio overlooking the grounds. So peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. Would absolutely stay there again.

The property is exquisite with well maintained gardens and pool. The rooms are very comfortable with very good air-conditioning which is very much needed in this heat. The hotel is close to everything that I need on my business trips, banks, the Victoria Falls and restaurants. The only downside is the Wi-Fi connectivity.

Location was convenient, staff was friendly and helpful, beautiful rooms! They provided bug spray, local recommendations, we felt safe enough to walk around and shop and eat at the places close by. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with dramatic sunrises and 'smoke' from the falls. All the food was excellent.We had to move rooms which the hotel did willingly because some rooms are below a wooden walkway which amplifies the noise of people and their luggage coming and going. Avoid those few rooms if you are noise averse. The hotel is extremely convenient for town being right on the edge.

A very nice hotel in a great location near Victoria Falls. The downside of being close to the falls is the constant helicopters flying overhead. The facilities are nice, the grounds well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable. The balconies are a nice spot to watch the sunrise in the morning and animals (deer, monkeys, elephants) in the late afternoons. The restaurant is pretty good with lovely outdoor dining, though the lunch menu is somewhat limited. Staff is friendly and helpful.A few small things added up to a half-star deduction from what could be a 3 1/2-star review. While the balcony is lovely and big, it’s wasted with small and uncomfortable chairs. There is no robe provided and no hair conditioner. I was given a room with two twin beds, which did not provide a good night’s sleep.Solo travelers: The food/drink service was mostly good, with a couple times when I felt forgotten by servers. It was easy to arrange excursions through the hotel - I recommend the birdwatching and sunset cruises. Walking alone into town or to the falls, I was accosted by locals aggressively trying to sell me things. While it didn’t feel dangerous, it was definitely aggravating.

Excellent food, reasonable service, comfortable rooms and close to most of the attractions, however we will not be staying at Ilala Lodge again because of the the awful helicopters that fly overhead all day. We regret not choosing to stay somewhere further away from the centre of Vic Falls to avoid that continual noise.

Wow what a fantastic place. Ilala was a home away from home during our stay in Vic Falls and I can't recommend it enough. The grounds were beautiful (we saw lots of animals!), the food was lovely and the service/amenities was spectacular. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The hotel also arranged all of our activities which made for a stress-free experience. The location was perfect, too, as it was easy to walk to the Falls (so close, you can feel the mist on your patio!) and other restaurants nearby. Highly recommend The Wine Experience in the market behind the hotel, too - the ladies, local wines and charcuterie were fantastic!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, centrally located, with beautiful gardens and friendly staff. Good food and a great bar. Don’t be surprised to get daily visits from elephants, hippos, baboons and other animals.Minus points: the room was a bit small, the a/c and fan didn’t work properly and the WiFi was truly terrible.All in all, we had a great time!

A very beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Food was 4.5 of 5. The day-through helicopter noise is typical for Victoria Falls. Unfortunately there is also a bar with loud music, Friday to Sunday until around 10pm. Normal for a big city.

Perfect location for visiting Victoria falls. The hotel is attractively built with thatch roof. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with balconies overlooking the gardens. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The bonus was seeing the elephants on their travels through the garden

We had the most beautiful room at Ilala Lodge. The service was amazing from the minute we stepped out of our vehicle. The location is perfect, you can walk to the shops or to the amazing Victoria Falls.

You can the mist from the Falls. Rooms look onto open wildlife area with mongoose and antelope. Great bar with pools nearby. Fantastic meals and great service. Would come back just for the stay here.

First stayed here in 1984.... was absolutely amazing then and 30 odd years later...is even better now. If you aren't staying at the hotel you can still enjoy one of the best breakfasts in Africa at the Jungle Junction. One of my favorite places in the world.

The buffet bill was $123 + $15 tips for three adults. The 30 min show starts at 1930 hrs. It is entertaining, with different dances and performers really getting into it. The food is meh. There's enough for you to choose from. The taste and prep of non-Zimbabwean dishes are good, rest like pasta, salads, sushi, desserts, breads, etc are OK at best. The staff are wonderful. The location around a water feature is lovely. All in all do go one night to take it all in.

Delicious food served as a buffet. Both breakfast and dinner were available. Perfect for groups so that every can eat exactly what they want. The food was exceptional every night, served by wonderful staff. All different cuisines were on offer. In the evenings, there was music performed by local acts which was fantastic.

The buffet had many options to choose from even the kids were fully catered for.

The dinner buffet spread is very limited and the food is bland. The sushi is fast food chain standard and ran out quickly. Overall, nothing much to shout about.

Best service in town and meals hearty and generous. Really enjoyed our quick lunch and only regret not having more time to chill. The frozen margarita and frozen pina colada are amazing and ready on tap! Perfect to cool off from the African heat.

We were booked here by The Elephant and cheetah experience for lunch, we had a great time. The food was ok but the chicken burger was disappointing, chicken with cabbage etc.Prices are typically resort town but that’s understandable.Awesome staff and we were well taken care of.Coffee set up was awesome too, Amarula shot, iced water, cappuccino all on a board.Overall we loved it.
