Hi there team,Coming to you from Melbourne - I'm lucky enough to say that it's my second trip here to see our fantastic team and world-class customers in the past two months. In Feb, we held our APAC Quarterly Business Review. It's a chance to get our key leaders together in a room, and run through our previous quarter. What went well? What can be improved for the next quarter? Every team also shared a customer case study, and did a deep dive on a metric that mattered. This was our third QBR, and our best one yet! There's also a socialisation element too, and it was great to have the full leadership team together at Salona (a Lightspeed Commerce customer) for dinner.Customer visits have also been the theme of the trips too. We had a tremendous customer visit last time to Shane Delia of Delia Group, representing some of Melbourne's best restaurants (Maha is one of my favs - thank you Fig for the introduction). Dax and Asha also joined, and we talked through some of Maha's challenges and opportunities with Lightspeed. Good, honest feedback, and lots of takeaways for the team.I'm also thrilled to be heading along to a new Lightspeed customer tonight - Attica. As Dave Scheine knows, it's been a lifelong goal to eat at Attica, and I set my team the challenge that if we signed any Australian Good Food Guide Three Hat restaurants this year, then I'd take the core team involved to a dinner there on me! Adam and Nathan came through, and so the three of us will be dining there tomorrow, as a thank you to the Attica and Lightspeed teams. Cannot wait!

Reflecting on a super week and a half for Lightspeed Commerce in APAC. There may be a few posts incoming over the next few weeks to cover all the highlights - apologies in advance for the spam. I'm kicking things off with the reopening of our amazing Auckland office, after its extensive renovation and upgrade. Our new space is out of this world. It retains all the charm of our original Vend offices, but more elevated and spacious. It's a much better working space now too - with right-sized meeting rooms, and SO many breakout pods. It was just amazing to return to the space after 3.5 months working remotely - real back-to-school vibes getting all of us back into the office. We also had the entire Lightspeed Exec down to re-open the office (as well as amazing special guest star Vaughan). The clear highlights were both a brilliant mihi and karakia from Wati, and getting to handle my first ever pair of oversized scissors with Dax for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. So many folks to thank for this. Some key ones - our amazing facilities team in Arjan, Patrick, Karen and Beth; and our IT team of Marc, Alzain, Peter and Serajul. Cheers team - and ping me if you want to check out the office in person!

A fun little Holiday cheer post... So excited for Lightspeed Commerce to sponsor an amazing match with Big Brothers Big Sisters Auckland, between Xonique and Lily!Over the course of 2023, we've started an initiative at Lightspeed in APAC called Lightspeed Cares - providing POS and other services to non-profits with ties to Lightspeeders. This is our third Lightspeed Cares recipient, with ties to Pamela Hill. Thank you also to Chelsey H. and Lauren McCall for all of your support too. Excitingly, we'll also be rolling out the Lightspeed Cares initiative to our North American and EMEA teams for 2024!So team - be well, be safe, and can't wait to connect more in 2024!

I've just returned from my second remarkable APAC President's Club with Lightspeed Commerce. For those of you not aware, President's Club rewards our highest performers globally, representing the top 5% of so of all team members at Lightspeed. It was a joy to learn, train, and relax with this fantastic bunch in APAC. And what a fantastic bunch they were! A special shout-out to our Hopso AM leaders Arjun James Pathmanathan and Luke Atkins, as well as SDR-extraordinaire Jonathan Davison, who were all returning honourees. A hearty congratulations to Rob Ferrer, who came all the way from the Philippines to attend, and broke barriers along the way. And a big welcome to our well-deserving first time award winners - Lia Paddy, Lucy Rogers, Sasha Hartley, Cristian Alex Romen, Andrew Harris, Ray Morgan, Jaden Martin and Wati Edmonds. So proud of this team. And it really was a wholesome trip - snorkelling, hiking, swimming. We volunteered at a local school, and even attended a Church service. A fitting reward for these fine folk. In the words of our President JD St-Martin - "Success is best when it's shared", and I can't wait to see a number of these faces back again next year. #presidentsclub

I've just returned to New Zealand after a fantastic three weeks in and around our Montréal HQ at Lightspeed Commerce. The first week was spent at our Executive Leadership Team offsite - a tremendous chance to spend time with the Exec thinking, sharing and learning. The second week was spend across our Toronto and Montréal offices, including some special dinners with amazing Lightspeeders like Jay Vas, Donovan Sparkes Jr, Kevin Gordillo, Rida R., Brett Payette, Jane O'Sullivan, Kevin Kim, Kathryn Speirs, Rose Francois, Abbey Roberts, Colleen Williamson, Brendan Simpson, Justin Hudon and crew. And the third week was spent at our annual Sales Summit, celebrating Lightspeed's success with over 800 leaders and GTM team members from around the world.Sales Summit was an exceptional time, but this year, I had two clear highlights.First, we got the entire APAC Sales, Marketing, Rev Ops and Customer Leadership crew together for the first time to run through our strategy, vision and plan for the year. It was a super session, with some quality deep dives, and it brought me so much joy to see the whole team in one place (minus some folks stuck by crazy travel delays - thank you for soldiering on!)The other highlight was hosting the Sales Awards with my partner-in-crime, Liam Crooks. To my NZ crew - I apologise deeply for my choice of attire, and I will explain over a great Kiwi ESPRESSO WORKSHOP ROASTERY LIMITED coffee one of these days. The best part was celebrating our top sales folks from around the world, and sharing the President Club winners for FY23. A special shout-out to all the APAC winners here - Roberto Ferrer, Jonathan Davison, Wati Edmonds, Sina Nematian, Lucy Rogers, Cristian Alex Romen, Arjun James Pathmanathan and Lia Paddy. What a phenomenal crew! It's great to be home, but these moments make me so proud to be a Lightspeeder and APAC-er. #team #sales #thankyou #commerce

It's not every day that you get featured in the newspaper, and even less regularly when you get to do that wearing shorts, so I'm working through my Kiwi shame of self-promotion in sharing this to my LinkedIn crew. Also who doesn't like a good indoor plant, and a headline pun! What I am super proud of is sharing the criticality of the APAC Region to Lightspeed Commerce, all the great work we are doing, and the growth that we are seeing. Thank you Jacqueline Greenaway, Fig Cakar, Simon Le Grand, Amie King (McKinlay), Angelo Livanos and the whole crew in continuing to drive APAC forward! LFG!#growth #apac #australia #newzealand

In April we celebrated President's Club at Lightspeed Commerce - a reward for our top GTM and Customers performers globally! Given COVID travel restrictions, we celebrated our superstars from the last few years, and because of Lightspeed's phenomenal growth, we made the shift to a regional President's Club this year. I had the privilege of hosting our APAC Hospo and Retail Legends at Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef in the Whitsundays - a superb venue, with amazing wildlife and plenty of activities. Wholesome fun was had by all, and I'll never forget our team morning swims at Lover's Cove. We also got to celebrate the promotions of Damian Carroll and Lucas Ng - brilliant work. I can't wait to announce our FY23 President's Club members at our upcoming Sales Summit in Quebec City in June. Congratulations once again to this fantastic group of Simon Le Grand, birthday boy Ryan Swiderski, Ritta Fradelakis, Bec Simmons, Patrick Ryan-Parker, Mitchell Beer, Luke Atkins, Jeron Daniel, Emma Chegwyn, Elliot de Bruin, Billie Hooper, Arjun James Pathmanathan, Angelo Livanos, Andrea Quinn, Adam Del Mastro, Damian and Lucas. Congrats also to winners that weren't able to make it in Ryan Tibbetts, Morgan Maaka, Jonathan Davison, Ben Scemama and Angus Lindsay. Beyond the recognition, the team also received some Allbirds slides, and personalised lavalavas, screenprinted by a local NZ non-profit that helps get students into trades. Outstanding work by all, and hope to see you again later this year!
